Insurance companies will always take an extremely aggressive stance if you have a claim and have not declared convictons when taking out your policy.
Accidents/Claims:
Some insurers ask you to declare accidents/claims within the last 3 years, such as Direct Line and associates, Admiral.com and associates, E Sure and associates, E Car Insurance. Whereas many ask for accidents in the last 5 years. This can make a considerable difference on price.
Admiral Group and Zurich Insurance:
Will usually allow NCD from EEC countries (and occasionally none EEC).
Company car NCD:
If you have driven a company car some insurers will allow NCD for each full year claim free you can have verified by your employer ie. 3 years company car equals 3 years NCD (normally over 25 years of age only). Eg.

• E Car Insurance*
• E Sure & associate companies

*The company letter will need to state that the vehicle has been used for social as well as business use and the car was exclusively for you, also you must not now have use of the company car and there is not more than a few weeks gap between the company car and your new one.

The Direct Line group of companies are often very competitive for van insurance on their normal car policy. They usually allow use in conection with your occupation and can be usefull for carpenters, electricians, etc. |
