Windscreen cover

With comprehensive cover only.

If any window glass on your vehicle shatters, you can have it replaced without losing your No Claims Discount.

A compulsory excess is always applied at an average of £60.50.

Companies with high excess’ include:
• Direct Line £75 excess.
• Zurich £100 excess.
• Tesco £75 excess.

With a reasonable excess of £50 or less this is an extremely worthwhile policy inclusion.

Comments
Virtually all insurers include this but as you will see the value is continually being eroded by the high excess amounts some insurers apply.

When you consider that you normally have to use their approved repairer, where they will receive gigantic discounts, the insurers are becoming increasingly less generous with this clause.

NB
Your excess is normally increased if you do not use an approved repairer.
