Do I need to check prices every year?
Insurance companies change their rates constantly, in some cases daily.
Companies are bought and sold and the new owners often change the rating structures.
Your own criteria changes significantly each year with vitally important insurance data such as:
• Your age
• A new car
• Change of address
• New drivers
• Accidents or convictions
• etc.
All of these can change your premium enormously.
• It is ridiculous not to check if your insurance company are overcharging you each year.
• Unless you’ve got more money than sense, we would always advise you to do your checks using our instructions.
• A company that gave you the best deal last year, is not necessarily going to be best this time around.
Comments:
Unless you’ve got money to burn, you should shop around every year, without fail.
Always remember that if you are renewing with your existing insurace company that you have an obligation to notify them of any change of circumstance from last year ie.
• Points on license
• Change of address
• Health problems
• etc. |
